How to Grease Snap-On CT4850 Impact Wrenches

    • 1). Remove the nose cover of the Snap-On CT4850 impact wrench. Using a Phillips-head screwdriver, remove the four screws holding the cover to the main unit. The screws are located directly above the trigger.

    • 2). Identify the anvil bearing, located directly inside the nose. This assembly is directly behind socket attachment that protrudes from the nose. There should be enough grease to cover the bearing but, if not, apply silicone grease to the bearing with your finger.

    • 3). Screw the nose cover back to the impact wrench's main housing. Quickly operate the wrench to distribute the grease evenly.
