- 1). Open your Internet browser.
- 2). Type "routerlogin.net" in the address text box and press "Enter." This directs the Web browser to your Netgear login console window.
- 3). Type "admin" for the user name and your password. If this is a new installation, type "password" for the password and click "OK" to log in to the Netgear administration console.
- 4). Click the "Set Up" menu option in the left panel, then select "Wireless Settings" in the menu options. Click the "Security Options" link. Your passphrase text box displays.
- 5). Type a new passphrase in the "Passphrase" text box. Click "Apply" to save the settings. The new passphrase is applied, and users who connect to the network need to use the new passphrase.
