2 Things You Should Know Before Building a Large Dog House

I admire people that take personal responsibility to take care of their canine buddies, even to the point of building their own dog house for their pet.
It takes a lot of time I know, and the skill to do that as well.
But done out of love? Certainly it's all worth the sweat!  While you're "in the zone" and willing to do whatever it takes to make your dog comfortable with his newfound life with you, remember these 2 things before hammering up all those nails for your large dog house.
These 2 often overlooked things can spell the difference between a good house from a great home.
  1.
It's not just what inside that matters.
What's outside also counts.
- you want to make sure that along with the best dog house you can give for your pet, you are also able to provide him with a miniature garden and landscaping surrounding his "pad".
Talk about creating a friendly environment that your "buddy" will definitely enjoy and find comfort in! It may cost you a little bit more, but it's truly a rewarding experience.
  2.
Proper insulation is proper protection.
- Your large dog house should be fully insulated.
This means that whether you're facing a hot summer or a cold winter, your dog can be safe and would never have to "run for cover" at your own house.
There are many plans out there that teach for example the best sleeping materials to keep your dog cozy all the time, and the best position your dog house should be located to get the most protection from the elements.
