How to Insert a Micro SD

    • 1). Open the cover to the port on the device, if necessary. If you are using the card reader with a PC, find the slot on the side or end of the reader where the card will fit.

    • 2). Hold the Micro SD card in your fingers, being careful not to touch the metal contacts. Touch only the plastic housing on the other end of the card. Face the metal contacts down.

    • 3). Insert the Micro SD card into the port or slot with the contacts facing down and entering the port or slot first. Push the card gently until it clicks into place and will not advance further. If you are using an adapter, insert the Micro SD card into the adapter first and then insert the adapter into the port of the PC.

    • 4). Insert the card reader into a USB port of your PC if you are using a reader.

    • 5). Remove the Micro SD card by pushing it in gently until it clicks and then pulling it out. Your Micro SD card may also simply pull out of the slot, depending upon the design of the port. If you are using a card reader, click the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon from the System Tray and highlight the card reader. Click "Stop" and then remove the card reader from the USB port.
