How to Remove a Bed Cap on an F150

    • 1). Open your tailgate as well as the rear window of the truck cap.

    • 2). Disconnect any wiring connections on the interior of your truck bed cover to avoid snagging or damaging them when you remove the bed cover.

    • 3). Remove the four bed cover clamps at the four corners of your truck bed. While most clamps can simply be loosened by turning the clamp handle in a counterclockwise direction, you may need a ratchet and socket set to remove the bed cover if special clamps were used.

    • 4). Lift the cover off of the rails with the help of at least three other people so there is at least one person at each corner of the cap. Carry the cap to a safe spot and gently lay it down.
