How to Transfer Data Between 2 Hard Drives on the Same Computer
- 1). Double-click the "My Computer" icon on the desktop to open a new Explorer window.
- 2). Double-click the hard drive that contains the data you want to transfer.
- 3). Find and select the files and folders that you want to transfer. Select multiple items by holding down the "Ctrl" key while clicking items.
- 4). Click the "Edit" button in the menu bar.
- 5). Click "Copy" if you want to make a copy of the data on the other hard drive. Click "Cut" if you want to move the data to the other hard drive.
- 6). Double-click the "My Computer" icon on the desktop again to open a new Explorer window.
- 7). Double-click the hard drive to which you want to transfer the data.
- 8). Navigate to the folder where you want to place the data.
