How to Check the Fuel Pressure on a 1999 Camaro
- 1). Turn off the ignition and open the hood.
- 2). Find the Schrader valve port. It is located on the end of the driver-side fuel rail.
- 3). Remove the dust cap from the Schrader valve port. Install the fuel pressure gauge.
- 4). Turn the ignition on without starting the engine. The fuel pump will take a couple of seconds to energize.
- 5). Watch the fuel pressure gauge as the fuel pump energizes and note the pressure reading.
