Lexus Rx330 Rotor Removal
- 1). Drive the Lexus Rx330 onto a level area and place the vehicle in "park." Set the emergency brake and place a wood block behind one of the rear tires to prevent the vehicle from rolling.
- 2). Loosen the lug nuts on the tire that you are removing with a tire tool, turning the nuts one full turn. Lift the vehicle up with a floor jack and place a jack stand under the axle near the tire you are taking off.
- 3). Lower the vehicle down so it is resting on the jack stand and move the floor jack out of the way. Remove the tire from the vehicle, taking the lug nuts off with the tire tool.
- 4). Set the tire and lug nuts out of the way and remove the E-clip from the bolt at the bottom of the brake caliper, prying it off with a screwdriver. Unfasten the bolts that are securing the caliper to the brake rotor with a socket wrench and slide the bolts out of the caliper.
- 5). Remove the brake caliper from the rotor, sliding it off by hand and taking the brake pads out of the caliper. Suspend the caliper from the vehicle frame with a wire hanger to keep it out of the way.
- 6). Take the brake rotor off the wheel hub of the Lexus Rx330, rocking it gently back and forth by hand until you can slide it off the hub.
