There are many Christian colleges and universities throughout the U.S. Though all such schools in the U.S. are socially conservative, some are less conservative than others. As a general goal, these schools strive to combine a quality education with a solid Christian foundation. Many provide religious degrees while also offering degrees in the sciences, history and other non-religious subjects. For students interested in attending a Christian school, there are many options to choose from. - Gordon College is nondenominational school in Wenham, Massachusetts, and one of the top Christian universities in the U.S., according to its website. The school offers majors in religious subjects like Biblical studies and Christian ministries, as well as subjects found at non-religious schools, like biology and economics. The school also offers graduate study in education and music education.
The college was founded by Rev. Dr. Adoniram Judson Gordon and initially called the Boston Missionary Training School. After a few moves, the school settled into its current home in Wenham. The school later merged with Barrington College in 1985.
Opened in 2008, the Ken Olsen Science Center at Gordon College houses marine, biology, ecology, physics, psychology, computer science, biology and other science classes in classrooms, labs and office space. Engineering labs and golf labs also take place in the building as well.
A little less conservative than other American Christian colleges, Gordon has hosted the gay religious tolerance group, Soul Force, for a talk on its campus. (see Reference 1)

gordon.edu/ - An independent, fundamental Baptist College, Puerto Rico Baptist College was organized by fundamental American and Puerto Rican Baptists churches in 1979. Prior to this, the school existed as a Bible Institute which was founded in 1970 and later converted into the present school. Dr. Mike Casillas is the founder and current president as of 2010. The school offers bachelors degrees in Pastoral Studies, Mission and Elementary Education, among other programs. They also offer a Certificate in Practical Bible Studies. Some of the degrees appear to be segregated by gender, as there is a Missions program for men and a separate one for women. The school emphasizes missions work, as students participate in projects at other fundamental Baptist churches.
Unlike some other Christian colleges, the degrees offered are exclusively religious. There are no scientific or liberal arts degrees. The school, however, boasts the distinction of having many of its graduates leave the school bilingual in Spanish and English, even if they came knowing only one language.
