  The HP Compaq 6910p, released in 2007, falls into the "thin-and-light" category of business laptops. Equipped with Microsoft Windows Vista Business, the 6910p includes a fast Intel processor and security features to keep sensitive data safe on the road. Reviews of the 6910p took note of its rugged magnesium-alloy frame, better-than-average speakers and the multiple Internet connection methods it offers travelers.
  
  

CPU, Memory and Storage

• As with most HP Compaq laptops, buyers of the 6910p could choose from among a variety of configurations. Typically, this model is equipped with an Intel Core 2 Duo T7300 2 GHz processor and 2 GB of DDR2 SDRAM memory. Processors with speeds of up to 2.6 GHz were offered. Hard drive sizes ranged from 80 GB to 160 GB. The 6910p was equipped with HP's Mobile Data Protection System 3D, which protects data by parking the hard drive read/write head when abrupt movements occur.
  
  

Display, Video Card and Audio

• The 6910p's 14.1-inch display has a resolution of 1440 by 900 pixels. It offers good brightness and is evenly lit, according to the website Notebook Review. Buyers could opt for integrated Intel GMA X3100 graphics or, for better performance, an ATI Mobility Radeon graphics card with 64 MB or 128 MB of video memory. The laptop's stereo speakers are "rich and clear at all but the highest volumes,'' reports the website Cnet Reviews.
  
  

Networking and Optical Drive

• Business travelers can select wireless 802.11a/g/n or a built-in card that supports Verizon's EV-DO data network. The laptop includes an Ethernet jack and a 56 Kbps modem. Bluetooth headsets are supported. The 6910p includes a DVD-RW drive.
  
  

Security, Ports, Dimensions

• The 6910p includes a fingerprint reader for secure access and a trusted platform module (TPM) chip to protect data from theft. Ports and jacks include S-Video, three USB 2.0 ports, a Secure Digital memory card reader, stereo microphone and headphone jacks and a VGA port for connection to monitors and TVs. The computer measures 13 by 9.5 by 1.4 inches and weighs 5.1 pounds.
