Specifications of the IBM Thinkpad

    • The IBM Thinkpad series of laptop computers (recently handed over to Lenovo) is focused primarily on providing low-cost options to computer users who need to access their data on the go. IBM/Lenovo ThinkPads are available in several models, each with its own specifications and capabilities.

    ThinkPad X201

    • With a base cost of $1,884 (as of October 2010), the ThinkPad X201 features an Intel Core i5-560M Processor, Windows 7 Professional (64 bit), 4 GB of RAM and a 320 GB hard drive. The computer also boasts 6.7 hours of average battery life. The computer weighs in at about 3 and a half pounds and has a 12.1-inch screen.

    ThinkPad T410

    • The T410 will run you about $1,689 (as of October 2010). It comes with 4 GB of RAM, Windows 7 Home (64 bit), an Intel Core i5-560M processor, and a 320 GB hard drive. This computer has an average battery life of about 6.6 hours, but weighs more than the X201, at 5 pounds. Its screen size is 14.1 inches.

    ThinkPad T510

    • The T510 totals out at about $1,674 (as of October 2010). It features a 15.6-inch screen, the Intel Core i5-560M processor, Windows 7 Professional (64 bit), 4 GB of RAM and a 320 GB hard drive. The T510 weighs about 5.6 pounds and has an average battery life of 6.2 hours.
