- 1). Turn the computer off. Unplug the computer.
- 2). Locate the cooling fan grates on the side and back of the computer. Wipe dust and dirt from the grates with a damp cloth.
- 3). Spray canned air into the grates on both the back and side of the computer. This will spray dust from the blades. Peer into the grates. Continue spraying until the dust has been removed.
- 4). Wipe away any displaced dust left on the grates with the damp cloth. If there is residue or grime left, dip a cloth in rubbing alcohol and rub to clean.
