- 1). Connect one end of a USB cable to a USB port on your PC and the other end of the USB cable to the USB side of the SCSI-to-USB adapter.
- 2). Connect one end of the SCSI cable to serial port of the old hardware device and the other end to the SCSI side of the SCSI-to-USB adapter.
- 3). Turn on the peripheral device.
- 4). Insert the driver installation disc for your peripheral device into your PC. When you connect your old hardware device to the PC, you will notice that your PC won't detect the hardware, so you'll need to install the drivers. Wait for the installation wizard to load, and then follow the prompts to complete the setup.
- 5). Restart your PC.
