- 1). Shut down your Dell Latitude D610. Disconnect any cables from the laptop, including the power cord.
- 2). Flip the laptop upside down. Remove the two screws securing the hard drive assembly with a Phillips screwdriver. Slide the drive out of the laptop.
- 3). Pull the hard drive out of the hard drive bay. Insert the new drive into the bay until it is secure. Slide the drive into the laptop and secure it with the two retaining screws. Tighten the screws with a Phillips screwdriver.
- 4). Turn the laptop upright. Connect the power cord and any other device cables. Reinstall your operating system if necessary.
