How to Fix a Sercurity Problem in a Computer
- 1). Disconnect your computer from the Internet. Unplug the network cable from the computer or disable the wireless connection if you are connected wirelessly.
- 2). Install spyware remover. Malware Bytes, Webroot and superantispyware are just a few of the many programs available. You can download the software on another computer and then transfer it to your computer to install. Run a full scan on your computer and remove all the spyware found.
- 3). Download and install Antivirus software. McAfee, AVG free and Norton's provide antivirus software. Run a full scan on your computer and allow all viruses to be removed or quarantined. This could take several hours.
- 4). Install a Firewall program such as Zone Alarm to prevent any unwanted incoming or outgoing transactions.
- 5). Change all of your passwords to random passwords. It's recommended that you don't write passwords down, but that's better than keeping the same password and one that is similar or the same for multiple accounts.
