How to Check My DVD/CD Drive
- 1). Click "Start" and then select "Control Panel."
- 2). Click "Hardware and Sound" and then click "Device Manager" under "Devices and Printers." The Device Manager window opens.
- 3). Click the small arrow next to "DVD/CD-ROM Drives" to display the list of DVD/CD drives connected to or installed in your computer.
- 4). Right-click on the DVD/CD drive you want to check. Select "Properties" from the pop-up menu.
- 5). Click the "General" tab. The status of your DVD/CD drive is displayed in the "Device Status" box.
