How to Transfer DV Movies to Windows Movie Maker

- 1). Turn the digital video camera on and switch to USB mode. This is usually found under settings or accessible through playback mode.
- 2). Connect your camera to the computer using the USB cable. You may need to run the CD included with the camera to install the camera's software. In some cases, Windows will automatically detect and download software for the device.
- 3). Open Windows Live Movie Maker.
- 4). Click the drop-down menu, and select "Import from Device."
- 5). Select the device from the list and then click "Import." Movie Maker will automatically transfer all video from the camera's DV tape to the computer.
