How to Find Pictures On the Computer After You've Taken Them Off the Camera
- 1). Plug in your camera. When the option to open your memory card appears, select the images on your card by right clicking with your mouse while you hold down "shift" on your keyboard. Keep the mouse button depressed; drag the images to your computer desktop. Using this method can save you further search steps.
- 2). Open the "User" folder on your computer if you run Vista or the "Document" folder in previous versions of Windows. The user folder may be named after the owner of the computer. Click the folder to open it, then look for a folder named "Pictures. This is the typical default location for images transferred from a digital camera.
- 3). Search for photos if you can't locate them in default folders. Use the name of one of your photos to perform a search. Use the "Start" menu search option to search the name you've written down, then then click the search return results to open the location of your transferred photos.
