How to Install a Chevy Window Seal
- 1). Start on each window by cutting a slot in the seal at the top right corner of the window.
- 2). Pull the seal back and grab it with a pair of pliers. Pull the seal out and away from the metal, tearing it away from its own adhesive. You may have to pull quite hard to get the seal to come loose.
- 3). Once you have completely removed the seal, scrape the surface with a metal scraper to remove left over pieces of rubber.
- 4). Use an old rag to cover the surface you just uncovered with Goo-gone. Rub the surface until all of the residue is removed. Allow the surface a little time to dry before continuing.
- 5). Pull the plastic covers off the rubber seals in your window seal kit. Place the seals adhesive down, starting once again in the upper right corner of the window. Keep the seal as straight as possible and work your way completely around the window.
