How to Use Your Pictures in a Slideshow Screensaver
- 1). Push and hold the "Ctrl" button and click on each picture you want to use in the screensaver. Right-click and select "Copy." Right-click the desktop and select "New Folder." Open the folder and then right-click and select "Paste" to place the pictures inside. Right-click the folder and select "Rename." Give it an identifiable name, such as "Custom Screensaver." Click on this folder, hold your mouse down, and drag it into the Windows default "Pictures" folder. If you would rather use all of the photos stored inside your "Pictures" folder, skip this step.
- 2). Click on the Windows 7 logo to open the start menu. Click on "Control Panel." Click on "Appearance and Personalization" then "Personalization."
- 3). Click on "Change Screen Saver." Click on the arrow beneath the "Screensaver" column. Select "Photos." Click on "Settings."
- 4). Click on "Use All Pictures from the Picture Gallery" if you want to make a screensaver using all of your photos. If you want to make a screensaver with the pictures in a specific folder, such as your custom folder, click "Use Pictures and Videos From."
- 5). Click "Browse" and then click on the custom folder from which you want the screensaver pictures to come.
- 6). Click your theme. Windows lets you select a number of themes for the screensaver, including "Black and White" and "Frame."
