How Do I Burn CD From Another CD?

    Copy or Rip Files From a CD

    • 1). Launch Windows Media Player.

    • 2). Insert the CD you want to copy into your computer's CD or DVD-Rom drive.

    • 3). Click on the "Rip" tab in Windows Media Player. All files on your CD should be listed. Next to each file, or song, is an unchecked-box. Check each file or song that you want to copy to your new CD.

    • 4). Press the "Rip" button and the software will copy the files from your CD and list them in the software's Library.

    Copy or Burn Files to a CD

    • 1). Click on the "Burn" tab in Windows Media Player. Click on the small drop-down on the Burn tab to access the Burn menu. Select "Audio CD" or "Data CD" from the menu.

    • 2). Eject the CD you copied and insert the new blank CD into the CD or DVD-Rom drive.

    • 3). Use your mouse to drag songs that were just ripped from your old CD in the Library pane, and drop them into the Burn List on the right side of the interface.

    • 4). Click on the "Start Burn" option at the bottom of the interface and your music will now burn to your new CD.
