How to Replace Ford Bronco II Clutch Slave Cylinder

    • 1). Disconnect the clutch master cylinder pushrod from the clutch pedal. The pushrod is found underneath the left side of the dashboard. To disconnect it from the clutch pedal, simply pull it off. Disconnect the clutch pedal position switch in a similar fashion.

    • 2). Remove the two clutch master cylinder push pins with a flathead screwdriver.

    • 3). Place the jack under the Ford Bronco II and lift it up to a comfortable height.

    • 4). Disconnect the clutch fluid hydraulic-line by pulling it off the slave cylinder. Rotate the slave cylinder 45 degrees clockwise to remove it from the vehicle. Install a replacement slave cylinder by placing it into the firewall of the Bronco II and twisting it 45 degrees counterclockwise to secure it.

    • 5). Reattach the hydraulic line and lower the Bronco II. Reattach the two push pins and the pushrod.
