How to Remove an iMac G4 Screen

    • 1). Lay the computer face down so that you may easily access the underside of the computer base. Touch a bare metal surface to discharge any static electricity.

    • 2). Unscrew the four screws on the bottom of the computer and remove the base plate.

    • 3). Unscrew the four screws holding the logic board inside of the system and separate the logic board from the system.

    • 4). Unscrew the six screws securing the hard drive inside of the system. Remove the hard drive.

    • 5). Unscrew the four screws securing the fan to the inside of the case. Unplug and remove the fan.

    • 6). Unscrew the screws securing the neck to the case. Remove the neck and screen from the base of the computer.
