Opening the Computer

• 1). Face the VAIO with the front facing toward you.
  
  
• 2). Locate the LCD lock lever on the front of the machine.
  
  
• 3). Slide the LCD lock level to the right to release the LCD screen.
  
  
• 4). Lift the LCD screen up to open the VAIO.
  
  

Open RAM Door

• 1). Turn off the VAIO and disconnect the AC adapter and any peripheral devices. Remove the battery pack.
  
  
• 2). Turn the computer over and locate the RAM door to the middle-right of the machine's underside.
  
  
• 3). Use the screwdriver to remove the screw holding the RAM door in place, then lift off the panel to open your VAIO.
