How to Remove Genuine Windows Validation on Windows 7
- 1). Visit the Genuine Microsoft Software website (see Resources). Click the blue "Validate Windows" button on the left side of the page.
- 2). Install the required browser plugin by clicking the "Download" button. If you are using Internet Explorer, this step is not necessary. If you do not wish to have additional browser plugins, you can uninstall it once validation is complete. Once the plugin is installed, click the "Continue" button on the Genuine Microsoft Software page.
- 3). Wait for your validation results. Scanning your machine may take a few minutes. When prompted, enter your Windows product key. If you've installed Windows 7 from a CD, look for the key within the CD case. If you've purchased a digital version of the installation files through the Microsoft store, the key should have been emailed to you.
