How to Hook Up Windows Media Center in Vista

    • 1). Screw one end of a coaxial cable onto the TV tuner input card on the back of your Windows Vista computer. Make sure the other end of the cable is screwed into either a cable television jack in your wall or into your cable or satellite television receiver box.

    • 2). Launch Windows Media Center.

    • 3). Click the "Tasks" option, then the "Settings" option.

    • 4). Click on the "TV" option, then the "Set Up your TV Signal" option.

    • 5). Click "Yes" to confirm to Windows Media Center the region of the country you live in. Then click "Next."

    • 6). Enter your zip code and click "Next."

    • 7). Click "I agree" and then "Next" to agree to the terms of service of the program.

    • 8). Allow Windows Media Center to download and install the software necessary to decode the live television signals being inputted into your computer. Once this process is finished, indicated by messages you'll see on screen, click "Next."

    • 9). Click "Finish." Windows Media Center is all hooked up and ready to go on your Windows Vista computer.
