How to Tweak a Wireless Air Card

    Update Driver

    • 1). Click "Start," then the "Network" option.

    • 2). Click the "Network and Sharing Center" button, then the "Change adapter settings" link.

    • 3). Right-click your "Wireless Network Connection," then the "Properties" option from the menu.

    • 4). Click the "Configure" button, then the "Driver" tab.

    • 5). Click the "Update Driver..." button, then the "Search automatically for updated driver software" link. Click the "Finish" button after Windows searches for the latest driver.

    Wireless Card Settings

    • 1). Click "Start," then the "Network" option.

    • 2). Click the "Network and Sharing Center" button, then the "Change adapter settings" link.

    • 3). Right-click your "Wireless Network Connection," then the "Properties" option from the menu.

    • 4). Click the "Configure" button, then the "Advanced" tab.

    • 5). Click the "Ad Hoc QoS Mode" option, then select "WMM Enabled" from the drop-down menu.

    • 6). Click the "Fat Channel Intolerant" option, then select "Disabled" from the drop-down menu.

    • 7). Click the "Roaming Aggressiveness" option, then select "5. Highest" from the drop-down menu.

    • 8). Click the "Throughput Enhancement" option, then select "Enabled" from the drop-down menu.

    • 9). Click the "Transmit Power" option, then select "5. Highest" from the drop-down menu.

      Click the "OK" button to apply the changes and close the window.
