Type of RAM

• The Gateway M305CRV supports two 200-pin RAM sockets, which can be occupied by 266 megahertz DDR RAM. The system comes with two 256 MB modules installed for a total system RAM of 512 MB.
  
  

Expandability

• The maximum amount of RAM supported by the M305CRV is 1 gigabyte. This is twice the amount that is supplied with the notebook from the factory.
  
  

Installation

• DDR RAM used in the M305CRV must be installed in duos. This means that each socket must have a stick of RAM of equivalent size. To upgrade to 1 gigabyte of RAM, the two 256 MB sticks included are useless. They must be replaced with two 512 MB sticks to reach the maximum capacity.
