How to Test the Integrity of a CentOS DVD
- 1). Insert the CentOS DVD into your computer's disc drive and restart the computer.
- 2). Type "linux mediacheck" at the Linux prompt that appears.
- 3). Press "Enter" to start the automatic integrity check.
- 4). Wait for the test to finish. If it's successful, you can install CentOS from the DVD. If it fails, your CentOS DVD is damaged. Try burning the downloaded CentOS image to a new DVD or acquire a new CentOS DVD.
