How to Clean Windshield Wiper Fluid
- 1). Purchase a cheese cloth from any grocery or textile store. Cheese cloth makes a great strainer for thin fluids.
- 2). Wash out a gallon-size milk jug thoroughly.
- 3). Pop the hood of your car and locate the windshield wiper fluid container. It is usually a clear plastic container, filled with blue solution.
- 4). Open the windshield wiper fluid container lid. Squeeze the clamp holding the hose onto the base of the windshield wiper fluid container with the pliers. Pull the hose off and position the empty jug under the flowing stream of windshield wiper fluid. Catch all the fluid. Clamp the hose back onto the base of the windshield wiper fluid container.
- 5). Place the cheese cloth over the hole on the top of the milk jug. Hold it over the top of the jug with one hand and tip the jug over the open windshield wiper fluid container lid hole with the other. Allow the fluid to filter slowly through the cheese cloth and back into the windshield wiper fluid container. Throw away the dirty cheese cloth.
