Instructions
1Restart your computer as the computer's BIOS can only be accessed during the boot process. This should be done after the computer has been running for at least 30 minutes to give the system time to heat up to operating temperature.
2
Wait for the message to be displayed telling you to press a key to enter the computer's BIOS. The key to press will be shown in this message and varies depending on the BIOS manufacturer. The most common keys are F1, F2, F12, Delete or Escape.
3
Select "PC Health," "System Health" or a similar option from the BIOS main menu.
4
Check the temperature of the CPU, which is usually displayed in both Fahrenheit and Celsius. Most modern CPUs have a maximum temperature of 140 degrees Fahrenheit or more, but with a good heatsink the temperature should ideally be in the range of 68 to 104 degrees Fahrenheit.
