- 1). Turn off the computer.
- 2). Remove any devices that supply an electric current to the computer. These devices include the power cable, the battery, and any external components that are connected to a power source.
- 3). Turn the computer over and locate the square-shaped memory module compartment at the lower-middle part of the base.
- 4). Extract the two screws on the memory module compartment cover and take off the cover.
- 5). Spread the retainers on the empty memory module connector.
- 6). Insert a memory module into the connector and press it down. The memory module is secure when the retainers lock into the indented sides of it.
- 7). Replace the memory module compartment cover and insert the screws into it.
- 8). Turn the computer over and replace the cables and devices you removed in Step 2. The computer is now ready for use.
