- 1). Unplug your Kindle from any power source it is connected to. The Kindle will not reboot if it is connected to a power source.
- 2). Locate the "Power" switch on your Kindle located on top of the device next to the headphone jack.
- 3). Slide the "Power" switch all the way to the right. Hold it there for at least 15 seconds and then release the "Power" switch.
- 4). Wait while the Kindle reboots. It may take up to 30 seconds before your Kindle begins rebooting. Do not press any other buttons while waiting for this process to begin.
