How to Remove Browser History

    • 1). Open your browser's settings.

      In Mozilla Firefox, click "Tools" followed by "Options."

      In Google Chrome, click the Customize and Control icon (the wrench on the right side of the main toolbar) and click "Options."

      In Apple Safari, click "File" followed by "Reset Safari."

      In Internet Explorer, click "Start" followed by "Control Panel," then click "Internet Options."

    • 2). Find the options page that contains your history settings.

      In Mozilla Firefox click the "Privacy" button (the lock icon.)

      In Google Chrome, click the "Personal Stuff" tab.

      In Apple Safari, Step 1 took you to the window you need; continue to the next step.

      In Internet Explorer, click the "General" tab followed by the "Delete Files" button.

    • 3). Delete your history.

      In Mozilla Firefox, click the "Clear Now" button to remove all history, passwords and cookies at once.

      In Google Chrome, click the "Clear Browsing Data" button to remove your history.

      In Apple Safari, make sure the "Clear History" option is checked, then click "Reset History."

      In Internet Explorer, make sure the "History" option is checked, then click "Delete."
