- 1). Download Wubi. Wubi is an officially supported Ubuntu installer for Windows that allows users to install Ubuntu as if it were any other program. See the references section for a link to the official Wubi download page.
- 2). Run Wubi by double clicking on the icon.
- 3). Configure the installation client. "Installation drive" should be left alone. An "installation size" of at least 5GB is recommended. For "desktop environment," choose Ubuntu Netbook from the drop-down menu in order to install Ubuntu Netbook Edition. Choose a username and a password and press "install." Wubi will now begin to download the necessary files and install Ubuntu Netbook Edition.
- 4). Reboot the netbook once installation is finished.
- 5). Choose the option to boot into Ubuntu at the booting option menu.
- 6). Log in using the username and password entered during installation and enjoy Ubuntu Netbook Edition.
