How to Upgrade a Computer to 4 GB of RAM
- 1). Turn off the computer and unplug it from the wall socket.
- 2). Remove the case screws on the rear of the computer and remove the side of the computer.
- 3). Insert the new RAM into the slots near the fan on the top half of the motherboard. (These are the vertically aligned slots with two retaining notches at either end.) Press down until they snap into place.
- 4). Close up your computer and restart it to make it automatically detect the new RAM.
