How to Use the Dash Board Controls of the Volvo S60
- 1). Turn your S60's hazard lights on by pressing the button that shows a red triangle. The triangle will illuminate to indicate that the hazard lights are active. Turn your hazards off by pressing the button again. The hazard light button is located on the right side of the control panel on the dashboard.
- 2). Locate the climate control system, also known as the air conditioner system, in the center console. Adjust the temperature, airflow and turn the A/C on and off.
- 3). Press the "Defrost" button located on the right side of the air conditioning panel to defrost the rear window and side mirrors. The button will illuminate when the defrost feature is active. If you are in temperatures below 48 degrees F, the defrost feature will activate automatically. Press the button a second time to turn the feature off.
- 4). Notice the driver- and passenger-side seat warmers knob on the left and right side of the climate system. Press the button with the chair icon on it to turn the seat warmers on, then turn the knob to adjust the temperature.
- 5). Set your S60's air conditioning temperature with the climate system, your favorite radio stations, driver-side seat adjustments and side and rearview mirror adjustments to your preferred settings. Locate the "My Car" button on the top right side of the center console. Press the button to store your current settings. Select which features you would like to store by reading the display menu that is brought up when you press the "My Car" button. Follow onscreen instructions to store your preferences; store up to 20 settings per automobile key. The settings automatically adjust when you use your key in the vehicle. If each driver uses his own key, the stored features will adjust depending on which key is used.
