Onyx

• 1). Open a Web browser and navigate to titanium.free.fr. Click the "Download" option, followed by the Onyx download link that corresponds to your operating system version.
  
  
• 2). Double-click the Onyx DMG file and follow the onscreen instructions to install the application onto the computer.
  
  
• 3). Double-click the Onyx application icon to launch the application. When prompted, click the "Continue" button to verify the computer's SMART status. When this process is finished, click the "Continue" button to verify the computer's startup volume.
  
  
• 4). Click the "Automation" tab and place a check mark next to each option beneath the "Maintenance," "Rebuilding" and "Cleaning" options.
  
  
• 5). Click the "Execute" button to start the maintenance, rebuilding and cleaning process. Once this process is finished, the computer will be optimized.
  
  

Cocktail

• 1). Open a Web browser and navigate to maintain.se/cocktail. Click the "Download" option, followed by the download link that corresponds to your operating system version.
  
  
• 2). Double-click the Cocktail DMG file and follow the onscreen instructions to install the application onto the computer.
  
  
• 3). Double-click the Cocktail application icon to launch the application. Enter your administrator password when prompted and click the "OK" button.
  
  
• 4). Click the "Pilot" tab and place a check mark next to each of the listed tasks.
  
  
• 5). Click the "Run" button to run the tasks. Once this process is finished, the computer will be optimized.
  
  

CleanMyMac

• 1). Open a Web browser and navigate to macpaw.com. Click the "Free Download" link to download the application install file.
  
  
• 2). Double-click the CleanMyMac .DMG file and follow the onscreen instructions to install the application onto the computer.
  
  
• 3). Double-click the CleanMyMac application icon to launch the application.
  
  
• 4). Place a check mark next to all of the options beneath the "Scan" heading. Click the "Scan" button to scan the computer's hard drive to begin the scanning process.
  
  
• 5). Click the "Clean" button after the scan is finished. Once the cleaning process is finished, the computer will be optimized.
