- 1). Walls: Paint the walls a rich golden background color. Add faux finishing to resemble old world plaster. If you are unable to paint the walls, hang a tapestry (or area rug) on the largest wall. The colors should be royal blue, greens, golds and purples.
- 2). Floors: Use area rugs in the kitchen. Place an beautiful rug underneath the table. Use tapestry table runners and cloths on top of the table.
- 3). Accessories: Use metal accessories such as pewter pitchers and vases. Place thick heavy pewter or gold candlesticks on the top shelves and on the table.
- 4). Art: Use gold acrylic craft paint and stencils to stencil a romantic quote on the walls. Use a Gothic or Old English style of print.
