How to Disable the DHCP Client Service

    • 1). Go to your Start menu and click on "Control Panel."

    • 2). Click on "Administrative Tools" and then click on "Services."

    • 3). Scroll down the list until you reach "DHCP Client Service" and right-click it.

    • 4). Click "Properties" and select "Disabled" under "Startup type."

    • 5). Click the "Stop" button and then click "OK."

    • 6). Close the "Services" window and the Control Panel. Your DHCP client service no longer runs on your computer and won't start up automatically with Windows anymore until you configure it to do so again.
