Start off by identifying the faulty plug-in. You can easily do this by playing the media that uses the plug-in and noting its behavior. - 2). If you find that the plug-in is not behaving as it is supposed to, check to see if there are any updates. Sometimes software publishers introduce new elements to their media that only function with newer versions of the plug-in. This frequently happens with Flash Player.
- 3). If the error persists, uninstall the plug-in and reinstall it. This process just takes seconds and can be found in your browser under "Tools" and "Add-ons."
- 4). If the problem still persists, try updating your browser. If that does not fix your problem, you might have to reinstall your browser. This should clear up any browser-side issues, as newer browsers are more compatible with more plug-ins.
- 5). Don't be afraid to perform an Internet search on your particular problem. You may be able to find a different plug-in that serves the same function and works better for you.
