What to Do If I Cannot Access My CreditKeeper Account

    By Web

    • If you have forgotten either your username or password for the website, CreditKeeper will give you a chance to access your information through a set of formalities. Underneath the login screen, you will find the option to recover either your username or password. To recover your username, click on the username-recovery link. You will need three pieces of information: Your first name, your last name and the member number you were issued during initial signup. Click 'Continue' and it will then display a screen that will give you your username.

For your password, the process is just as simple. Click the password-recovery option and the site will request three pieces of information: Your first name, your last name and your username. Once these have been entered and are correct, your password will be sent to you by email.

    • If you have lost both your user name and password and do not have your member number, the last resort is to call the company. Go to the "Contact Us" portion of the CreditKeeper website, where you will find a list of ways to contact HSBC. In this case, you will need their phone number to call the automated line. Follow the prompts until you reach their customer service line and, once speaking to an agent, explain to him that you lost your username and password.

You must provide information including, but not limited to, your first and last name, Social Security number, address and phone number. Once they can verify you are the user, they will resend your user name and password to your email address. You can then access your email and obtain your user information.
