Using a Motorcycle Jack

• 1). Buy a motorcycle jack at any auto repair store or motorcycle shop. An example motorcycle jack link is in the additional resources.
  
  
• 2). Place a block of wood behind back tire of the bike to prevent it from rolling off the jack stand.
  
  
• 3). Center the motorcycle jack, in the down position, under the block of the motorcycle.
  
  
• 4). Turn the hydraulic release valve to the right so you can jack up the motorcycle. Repeatedly pump the motorcycle jack handle until the motorcycle is off the ground at the height you want it to be.
  
  
• 5). Release the jack by turning the hydraulic release valve to the left very slowly and allow the jack to lower to the ground. Slide the jack out from under the motorcycle.
