How to Reset the "Change Oil" Message in the 2003 GMC

- 1). Put the key in the ignition and start the engine.
- 2). Press a button on the lower left of your steering wheel. You will recognize it by the fuel-tank picture. Press this button until the screen reads "Oil Life Remaining".
- 3). Look for an arrow picture on the right side of the steering wheel. This is the "Select" button. Press and hold it for eight seconds while simultaneously holding down the other button. You will see "100" flash on the instrument panel.
- 4). Shut off the engine and wait for one minute. Turn the engine back on and examine the instrument panel. The "Change Oil" light will now be off.
