How To Install a Farmall Oil Filter
- 1). Seal the rubber O-ring gasket to the top of the oil filter. The gasket is included with the oil filter. Line the top of the gasket with a metal sealant and press the gasket onto the filter. Wait 30 minutes for the sealant to cure before proceeding.
- 2). Lubricate the gasket with the clean motor oil used on the tractor. Line the top of the rubber ring with a thin layer or oil.
- 3). Place the oil filter on the port in the center of the engine, near the radiator. Twist the filter half a turn clockwise to fasten it in place.
