- 1). Insert the SD card into your computer's memory card slot. If you're using a USB SD card reader, connect the card reader to any available USB port on your computer and insert the SD card into the card reader. The name of the SD card reader will be displayed in the Windows notification tray. Remember the name.
- 2). Click the "Start" button on the Windows taskbar. Click "Computer" ("My Computer" for Windows XP users). Double-click the name of the SD card reader. A window displaying the contents (if any) on the SD card will be displayed.
- 3). Drag and drop the files you want to store on the SD card into the window.
