How to Identify Rims

    • 1). Examine the wheel rim. Look for any brand names or marks. Write down any markings you find regarding specifications or manufacture.

    • 2). Measure the wheel rim's diameter and circumference. Take pictures of the rim from several angles in case you need assistance in identifying the rims. Take closeups of any markings related to the manufacture.

    • 3). Search for pictures of similar rims. Check car forums on the Internet, as well as printed editions of product catalogs at auto body shops. Some rims are quite identifiable and you will be able to find pictures of them on your own, but others may be more obscure requiring a dealer or an enthusiast to point you in the right direction. If necessary, show your photos to knowledgeable people in the car field and ask for their advice.
