How do I Locate an Air Intake Temperature Sensor?

- 1). Remove the air cleaner cover from the top of the engine, unfastening the nut on the top of the cover with an open end wrench.
- 2). Take the air hoses off the sides of the air cleaner by hand and lift the cleaner off the engine, setting it out of the way.
- 3). Locate the tube running below the air intake manifold. The air intake temperature sensor is plugged into the tube below the intake manifold. It is a silver cylinder about the shape of a spark plug.
