How to Hide Incompatible Windows Updates
- 1). Click the "Start" button and type "windows update."
- 2). Click "Windows Update" in the search results.
- 3). Click "Check for updates" in the left-hand pane.
- 4). Click either "...important updates are available" or "...optional updates are available" to see the list of "important" or "optional" updates.
- 5). Right-click any update in the list and select "Hide Update" to hide the update from view. Click "OK" when complete.
- 6). Click "Restore hidden updates" from the left-hand pane, select the update you wish to restore, and then click "Restore" to make it visible again.
