How to Create iPhone Ringtones in Windows
- 1). Purchase or download free ringtone creation software. For example, you can purchase Joyringtone, MP3 To Ringtone 2.0 or Ringtone Maker. Instructions on how to create a ringtone, for all three, are similar.
- 2). Open the application and navigate to "Open media file". A box will open on your computer that will allow you to browse the music content on your computer you want to convert to a ringtone. Some programs will allow you to click on "Rip from CD," and you can rip music from a CD that can be converted into a ringtone.
- 3). Using your mouse, drag and drop the selector to the portion of the song from which you want to create a ringtone. You can choose any section of the song. Click on the "Play" button if you want to play the song and your highlighted selection first before converting it into a ringtone.
- 4). Click on the "MP3" button or "Create ringtone" option within the software, which will open a box for the location for you to save the file and convert the ringtone.
- 5). Open iTunes. Click on file and click "Add file from library." Select the music ringtone you just created. The file will import into iTunes, where you can connect the iPhone and drag and drop, or sync, the ringtone to your iPhone.
- 1). Access a ringtone creation website, such as makeownringtone.com, ringtonemaker.com or toneB.com. Each online ringtone creation site operates similarly.
- 2). Press "Browse." A box will open to allow you to select the music that you would like to upload so you can convert it into a ring tone. Click "Upload."
- 3). Use your mouse to select which portion of the song you would like converted into a ringtone.
- 4). Click "Convert," which will begin the conversion process. The online ringtone website may require you to input your mobile number where the ringtone will be texted into your iPhone. Or, you may have the option to download the ringtone directly to your computer where the file can then be imported into iTunes.
